United Barcode Systems further strengthens its presence in Mexico, as it inaugurates new facilities in the city of Querétaro after 18 years of operations in the country and consistent growth since its inception.
This milestone represents more than a doubling in size and the addition of state-of-the-art infrastructure with cutting-edge technology and communications, an automated production plant with intelligent storage systems, and comfortable office spaces designed to provide better service, attention, and a workplace experience for customers, suppliers, and employees.
Héctor Hernández Monterrubio, General Director for Mexico and Vice President for the Americas, stated:
“The goal of establishing our headquarters in Querétaro is to meet the needs of the State and the Bajío region, which are experiencing strong economic and industrial growth, while also serving as an operational hub to support the entire country.”
The new offices feature a modern testing lab and a fully equipped service workshop with measuring equipment and modern tools, designed with health and safety in mind for the technical staff.
Additionally, the new plant is built with short- and medium-term growth capacity and includes a showroom that showcases the latest innovations across the company’s full portfolio of identification, packaging, and labeling solutions.
The inauguration event was attended by many of UBS’s clients—leading companies in the Food, Beverage, Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Pharmaceutical, and Automotive sectors—as well as representatives from business organizations such as the Mexican Packaging Association (AMEE) and GS1 Mexico, both of which regulate packaging, barcodes, traceability, and logistics in the country. UBS plays a strategic role in developing high-value solutions in these areas.
“We strive to be the number one choice for any company worldwide when it comes to product identification solutions—becoming a valuable ally, helping our clients succeed in a competitive and demanding market that is constantly evolving in terms of regulations and identification standards,””, concluded Héctor Hernández.
