This recognition, registered in the Carbon Footprint, Compensation, and CO₂ Absorption Projects Registry, certifies that we have measured and recorded our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, demonstrating our commitment to transparency and continuous environmental improvement.
What is the Carbon Footprint Calculation Seal from MITERD?
The Carbon Footprint Seal is an official recognition awarded by MITERD, which certifies an organization's efforts to measure, reduce, and compensate its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. It is part of the Carbon Footprint, Compensation, and CO₂ Absorption Projects Registry, regulated by Royal Decree 163/2014.
The seal is structured into three levels:
•CALCULATION: Indicates that the organization has measured its GHG emissions and officially registered them.
•REDUCTION: Recognizes the reduction of emissions compared to previous years.
•COMPENSATION: Certifies the compensation of emissions through CO₂ absorption projects.
At this stage, United Barcode Systems has obtained the CALCULATION seal, meaning we have conducted an in-depth analysis of our carbon footprint and taken a key step in the responsible management of our emissions.
